Welcome to The LD Child's Web site. My name is Richard Evans and I am the operator of this site. If you're like me, you use your computer as a super highway for finding information on Special Education and/or Learning Disabilities needs and trends so I hope you enjoy what you find here.

I suffer from Learning Disabilities and Dyslexia and if I were a student in today's classroom, I would be classified as in need of Special Education services. I spend a great deal of my free time speaking on Learning Disabilities and Dyslexia from firsthand experience. I try to use my understand of the way LD kids think to put unique insight into the way that some students view and function in today's classroom. I presently hold a Bachelor of Science from Angelo State University  and M.Ed. Mid Management certification form there as well. I also need 6 more hours to complete the requirements for a Reading Specialist and I have recently been excepted to Texas A&M University to work on a Ph. D. in Special Education.  I am certified to teach elementary education, special education, and science and mathematics through 8th grade or I can be a Principal. I'm always looking for new site dealing with learning problems, information on resource help, or just general feedback on your venture through this site, so mail me with your input and comments.
